I get a blog occasionally from a Nebraska fan (I'm from Nebraska..a high school classmate forwards it to me). His weekly blog is always about NU football and he's really in the dumpster. I happened to find out this guy is a veterinarian and his DVM degree is from ISU. So, I directly emailed him to ask how he felt about his "other alma mater" (his BS degree is from NU), and its win over Texas.
Well...he was gracious to add something in this week's blog about the great win ISU had over Texas and he congratulated the team and coaches. But he went on to say that ISU, based on it's paltry football budget, lack of facilities, low fan-base, and low salary for coaches, should never be able to beat a team like Texas.
My inclination is to reply to him with all the energy that I used to use when I lived in Eastern Iowa when dealing with Iowa fans. Or, I could just let him go on to a miserable death. Advice??
