Just hit the local grocery store with my ISU hat on my head. My wife makes fun of me but dammit I wear Cyclone stuff and a guy just this morning stopped me and said he was from Cedar Rapids. He also gave me the "I always root for Iowa State, except when they play iowa." line of crappola but he was older and nice so I just thanked him for his support.
Anyway - a guy walks up behind me at the grocery store and says "hey, are you a Trojan fan?" When I turned around he saw the ISU logo and immediately laughed and said, "oh, Iowa State, I'm sorry, saw the colors, blah, blah." Well not exactly blah, blah but you get it. Then he says, "I really like your coach, and it looks like he's committed."
Two things - one is, the logo is a winner and immediately recognizable. Two, Matt Campbell is becoming nationally known. This guy self identified as a USC fan and said he wishes they had a guy like him. Remarkable!
