I was just listening to the Murphy and Andy podcast from yesterday. On the show, Murphy had indicated that he learned that not everyone on the team was a Rhoads supporter. I always thought the players like him. Anyone else hear anything along these line?
I have had some time now to digest the firing. I'm still bummed out about it. I understand why it happened but I wanted so badly for him to succeed here. He was the one guy that if he won, he was going to stay at ISU. My fear is any coach that gets us to 6 wins, is going to get hired away. I wanted our program to have some success, stability and Continuity it. I feel other coaches can have some minor success but they won't hang around beyond that. I mean, look how many offers Rhoads was getting with minor success. Look at Iowa City, only 2 coaches since 1979. Just crazy.
