Does ISU have an obnoxious game announcer that has to prattle on, even when play is stopped?
The guy at BU yesterday was just non-stop to the point of being irritating. I probably wouldn't have been so irritated, if he had some sadness in his voice because we were up by three scores, but every break in the action had some kind of gimmick or contest in the north end zone. The decibels were a little high, too. And does ISU have crappy music interludes?
I didn't need anyone yelling at me thiiiiiiiirrrrrrdddddd down. The big board and jumbotron were there for all to see.
It was irritating at the Alamo Bowl, too. Instead of replays they kept showing people jumping around.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but stick to business. Call the game, who did what, what the penalty was, etc. Down and distance if you have to, but I know how to read the board. Maybe it's a sign of the times that people can't just be entertained by the game, but need some kind of stimulus every 2 seconds to keep their attention.
