Just had a great conversation with Butler CC head coach Tim Schaffner. Man I hope Iowa State recruits the heck out of Butler going forward because I haven't had many better convos with a JC coach ever.
Hansen is going to sign tomorrow. Schaffner doesn't know where for sure, but it certainly sounds like Iowa State is in good shape. He said Butler was one of the first stops the new ISU coaches made when they got on the road and Hansen really liked that. The coach said the main thing Hansen is looking for is being wanted and ISU showed that as well or better than any other suitor. Schaffner didn't name other schools, he just said there's been some on and off interest from elsewhere.
I asked Coach Schaffner to let me know if he hears anything from Hansen, but he said he'll probable read about it on twitter like everybody else. Butler finished classes a week ago so all their players, including Hansen, have scattered accordingly. Whatever he does will be done at home in Oklahoma.
