Shelby (Ohio) High 2018 quarterback Brennan Armstrong's first offer came from Matt Campbell when he was at Toledo.
Now his first Power Five offer comes from Campbell not long after taking the job at Iowa State.
On Tuesday, the Cyclones extended a scholarship to the talented sophomore according to his coach Erik Will.
Campbell doesn't know much about Iowa State but he likes Campbell.
"He is such a great motivator and a person that cares about his players," Armstrong said.
While Iowa State gets a head start, several other schools are showing strong interest including Northwestern, Ohio State and Tennessee.
