Fareway Grocery Stores (not the Fareway Meat Market) has short loins for $7.99 lb this week. Fantastic deal for that cut of meat which you get about 6 Porterhouse and 7 T-bones. They range about 24 lbs (you have to buy the whole loin) and can be cut to any thickness. I got two loins cut at 1-1/2“ and split them with the kids and a couple friends. Call ahead with the thickness and how you want it packaged (I get 2 per package to freeze but they would do 1 per) and they will have it waiting for you. They do this about once a year.
