Pros and Cons of Big 12 Expansion

Been thinking of our fate Football wise if expansion occurs, especially Cincy, or Houston is added.

There are obvious advantages to adding teams on par with us like Cincy that we can beat 50% of the time and going to split divisions (like the Big 12 North).

Downside is how much harder recruiting would be for CMC pulling Ohio kids to ISU if Cincy is added to the Big 12. Cincy is renovating their old stadium and it's very nice now.

Add Houston and SMU and it almost takes Texas completely away from us for recruiting IMO.

Expansion provides us a better chance of winning in football with those two schools only if we retain CMC and he can continue to get OH kids to leave home for Ames, which becomes much harder for him.

Add CO State, BYU and or Boise and it hurts our recruiting less. Cincy might hurt us worst.

We need to be careful who we add.
