WORTH NOTING
1. Tyrese Haliburton has been named a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, given annually to the nation's top point guard.
2. Haliburton is three three-pointers away from becoming the 21st player in school history to make 100 career three-pointers...he's just the fourth player at ISU to hit 45 threes as a freshman and sophomore.
3. Solomon Young is averaging 13 points and has hit 17-of-21 free throws in the last four games.
4. Iowa State is one of 12 schools nationally with at least five road wins against the top-25 since Steve Prohm's first season at ISU (2015-16).
5. Haliburton has played 10 complete games this season, just two shy of the school record held by Barry Stevens.

LAST TIME OUT - CYCLONES FALL TO TEXAS
• Iowa State led for 25:45 of the game and held a 63-58 lead with just 3:30 left before Texas closed the game on a 14-5 run to earn the 72-68 win...there were just two lead changes and zero ties in the game.
• The Cyclones were led by Haliburton and Bolton’s 14 points, while Solomon Young chipped in 13 points off the bench...ISU’s bench outscored the Horns’ bench, 24-22.
• Freshman Tre Jackson made his first career start in place of senior Prentiss Nixon and made the most of it...Jackson finished with nine points, making all three of his 3-point attempts...Jackson played the first 39:42 of the game before fouling out.
• ISU outrebounded Texas, 30-29, led by Young and Zion Griffin pulling down six boards each off the bench.

IOWA STATE-WEST VIRGINIA SERIES NOTES
• Iowa State and West Virginia are meeting for the 16th time...the Cyclones hold an 8-7 edge in the all-time series, but West Virginia leads 5-2 in games played in Morgantown...the Cyclones have earned wins in Morgantown in 2013 and 2015...the teams had never played prior to West Virginia joining the Big 12 during the 2012-13 season.
• West Virginia is one of four Big 12 schools that ISU owns an edge in the all-time series...the others are Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech.
• Haliburton and WVU sophomore Jordan McCabe spent much of their high school careers starring against one another...Haliburton’s career high of 42 points came against McCabe’s Kaukauna High...while Haliburton was named Gatorade Player of the Year, McCabe took home Mr. Basketball honors...they shared Co-MVP honors in the Fox Valley Association.
• ISU head coach Steve Prohm is 3-6 against West Virginia and Bob Huggins
• ISU is 388-582 against teams currently in the Big 12 Conference.
