We don't have size, consistent shooters, exceptional athletes or depth. Those weaknesses particularly manifest themselves on defense except for the shooting thing. Add to that there is no passion to play defense from many of the guys (Thomas is the only exception that I see) and we have some obvious issues. Depth is the biggest, because we just wear out. But lack of athleticism, in today's game, gives us no chance on defense.
The surprise may not be the games we lost, but the games we managed to win. When fresh, we play really good basketball. When we get tired, it gets really ugly. 21-10 regular season, 0-1 in the Big XII, 1-1 in the dance. That is my prediction. We are an acceptable big guy and Naz short of what we need to be. IMO.
