We could not watch the game as we were in flight and only caught the last 2 minutes via score updates as the plane came in.
Our only perspective was shock and numbness as random people come up to us and start saying how sorry they are for our loss a we walk through the Houston airport (As compared with folks coming up to us all the past week saying they loved the Cyclones as were were in Las Cruces NM to visit our son doing his grad work there.)

So after getting home catching up, my wife was trying to decide if she wanted to watch the game or not. (Those of you who know her know how she takes the Cyclones to heart). She finally decided to watch it (I watched the last 10 minutes after finishing up my catch up stuff from being gone.)

The interesting thing is the more she watched the more she felt the anger go away. From her perspective, she saw what could have been any one of our games in the way all played and the other team senses this and stayed in it to the end. Basically she was a lot less ticked after watching the game as it was how the Clones have been all year.

This does not take away the hurt of the lost but all know this team has often been 1-2 shots away in many cases and is missing something at times. It still hurts, but was this game really any different than many we had, except their luck ran out.

Just random thoughts.

Now off to get in my NMSU dads shirt for today's game!. Go Aggies!
