From what I've seen there is just more parity with non power 5 teams and in pretty good lower division teams. When the SEC loses 7 times in the first week of the season, it speaks to parity. I look at the Big 12 and I still see strong teams including Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas tech. Thrown in teams that can beat just about anybody like Baylor, West Virginia, Oklahoma state, and K-state and you are really only left with Kansas and Iowa state as teams that don't scare anybody.
I like the big 12. I'll take it over the big 10 or the pac 12 any day.
