I apologize if this should be in the Pollard thread but I didn't want it to get lost in all the posts.
I have found you to be objective, normally neutral and you generally tend to stay out of the debates on this forum. I also would have to believe that you are as close to the program as anyone can be and still be considered an "outsider". That being said, you have been uncharacteristically outspoken on Pollard's and the university's failure regarding the football program. I respect your unique perspective. My question is, why would Pollard and ISU short football? It is the single most visible activity Iowa State has. It is the largest cash generator for athletics. Why would decisions be made that keeps us at the bottom of the P5 food chain? Are you suggesting it is intentional, poor decision making or a complete lack of understanding of what is required to raise this program out of the basement?
