Bo and the players were pretty frank about it post-game. Probably not frank enough to get in trouble with the NCAA, but they made no bones about why they think they lost.
I can understand it. A couple of bad calls late were crushers. Refs could (should?) have changed the call on that out-of-bounds play where a super-slo-mo replay showed the ball brushing a Duke player's finger, and it looked like Jones stepped out of bounds under the basket on another play.
On the other hand, Wisconsin only got whistled for two fouls in the first half, which is utterly ridiculous. And the Badgers were offal from the free throw line early....what did they miss, 4 of their first 6?
Duke always gets the breaks from the zebras. We all know that. It's like Kansas in the league, but with Duke, it doesn't matter where they're playing.
However, Wisconsin lost because they couldn't handle Duke's guards and Decker had a lousy game. Better team won, IMHO.
And finally.......there wouldn't have been much controversy about the officiating, in this and in other games, if the rules people would change their emphasis and tell the officials to CALL FREAKING FOULS. They just let far, far too much go, so when they do blow the whistle, it's inherently inconsistent.
