My teenage cat has been diagnosed with the start of renal failure. I have tried various prescription wet and dry cat foods without a lot of success getting him to eat. I read some articles about home "prepared" meals and tried feeding him some chicken in the hope of getting him to eat some protein. He wolfed it down. Am I on the right track or should I avoid feeding him fish and chicken I have prepared? How much should I feed him per day? Any other keen insights?
