My water softener has reached it's end of life and it's time to get a new one. Where better to turn that the CR message board for guidance? I was wondering what to look for and if there are systems that don't require lugging heavy salt bags down the basement. I'm getting a little old for that. I did a quick Google search, but wasn't sure where water softening left off and more elaborate filtration systems kicked in. I'm on a well if that makes a difference.
