Every Memorial Day - and leading up to the 'day', I think about those men and women I know who died -or were injured - in combat against our nation’s enemies. I think especially about the families who lost a loved one
and how I owe it to them to ensure that I preserve not only their memory, but the safety and security of the very nation for which they gave their lives.
It's a humble joy to visit a cemetery, to place a flag, a cross, a poppy at each one of the sites of someone that served, to honorably appreciate and to mindfully remind ourselves to help the peace and liberty to be maintained, today, and tomorrow.
Similarly, every American owes a debt of gratitude to the generations of warriors who preserved our nation’s freedom against the thirsty for control, hungry for money, deceitful, selfish, evils of Colonialism, Imperialism, Nazism, and Socialism/Communism (and their ideology is still present, often obscured with other words, as cover ).
For us Americans to expect to maintain that freedom, we must set aside attempts to divide, and match our gratitude with a commitment to defeat the threats that, today, could turn our Republic and our freedom into a memory.
These types of threats - that selfishly thirst for attention, power, money, control over other free people - are referred to as “existential” — they hold at risk the very existence of America as we know it.
In traditional 'wars' (not fun), the opponents wore distinctive uniforms for quickly identifying friend or foe.
Today, the enemy intentionally, deceitfully, blends in with the population...(also, not fun). Identification is slower...
Today’s “existential threats” are embodied in the “Red-Green Axis” and the methods by which those adversaries are currently working to bring an end to America. The Red-Green Axis is an ideological and political combination of Marxism-Leninism and Sharia. (often operating within and under the name, of something else, as cover.)
The “Red” part of this Axis consists of threats ranging from the Socialist and Communist states of Russia and China to the Socialist movement in the United States, part of which is firmly entrenched in American society and even within the American government.
The “Green” part of the Axis includes the Global Jihad Movement, a diverse array of Sharia supremacists who don’t necessarily align with each other but are united in their hatred of the principles of liberty by which America was founded.
Americans are relatively familiar with the violent “terrorism” taking place globally at the hands of Islamic jihadis, including the genocidal persecution of Christians, non-M's, and non-Sharia-adherent M's. Unfortunately, most Americans are completely blind to the aggressive and effective “Civilization Jihad” being executed here at home by those in our midst, the masked, the chameleon, the blending in, M Brotherhood (not the US military brotherhood).
We need to pray for God (for his children, for people helping to do God's work) to peacefully intervene, to create and broaden awareness....to help the interventionists, to find love, peace, equality (instead of hate).
We need to ask God to protect, strengthen, encourage, and guide ourselves, the President(s), and those that are constantly on their toes in defense of our liberty.
We know that God hears and answers prayer. He can soften hearts and change minds. He is all-powerful, and He rules over the affairs of nations. The Bible instructs us to pray for those in authority, “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." 1 Timothy 2
