Spent the afternoon at state track today. Beautiful day. The Rima kid from CR Prairie can really fly! He's going to UNI to play football. He won every sprint event this weekend (4A) and had an incredible anchor in the 4x100 making up a ton of ground to beat CR Wash. I've never seen him play football but I hope we don't regret that one like we did with Johnson.
Another Eastern Iowa kid (West Burlington Notre Dame) showed very impressive speed as well. His name is Trousil. No idea if he's a football player but he certainly looked like one.
And while I'm at it I'll throw out one more guy that impressed me. Korby Sander won the 1A 100m. Not an extremely impressive time (11.3) but his build was what struck me. Big kid. I now see that he's going to UNI as well after rushing for over 4,000 yards up there.
I'm not saying we missed on these kids. Just throwing it out there in case any of you know more about them.
