Just drive home from Minneapolis. I35 and then east on Hwy 20.
For those who may be impacted by spring flooding, I think this year could be troublesome. I have not seen so much snow in a long time.
Where there were natural wind breaks the drifts in the west side ditches looked a consistent 3-4 feet. In places, they looked to be 6-8 feet high. This was consistent from Mason City to Minneapolis.
In Minneapolis the commercial areas are literally running out of places to put the snow. Driving through parking lots is an exercise in faith. Can’t see around the plow mounds.
And last night, the local news said 9-10 more inches of wet snow this weekend.
Depending on the melt pattern and the overall moisture content of their snow, it could get scary downstream.
