Anyone know how they come up with flight patterns? My daughter flew out early Friday with a group of students to China. I tracked the flight from Detroit to Beijing last night. They flew over N Canada, Alaska, the Arctic Ocean then south over Russia and Mongolia. Seems like if the flight was over the west coast and Japan it might have been an 8hr flight instead of 14.
