We put down our 16 (technically 3 weeks short of 16) year old dog this afternoon. The pain I have to say is damn close to unbearable. A couple of things have made it a little easier first, we did not wait too long. It was very apparent that while she was fine yesterday, that today would be her last. Secondly, we used an in-home euthanasia vet so that she could pass in the relative comfort of her own home.
