Had the pleasure of attending the game here in JAX today. It was HOT:eek: Observations....

Mr. Rodgers was Mr. Cool. In fact, the Packers were so business-like you might have thought they were bored with it all. Just another day at the office. It was interesting to see. Very matter-of-fact in their approach. Sure there was emotion but, overall, just very focused I guess.

One of the more emotional moments came when Nelson scored a GB touchdown. You could tell that was a big moment for him and his team mates.

Rodgers is a very deceptive runner. He scored the game's first TD on a run. Still has some pretty good wheels.

I think the Pack played two down DL the entire game and had two ends up virtually all the time. Kind of a 2-4-5. Interesting.

Eddie Lacey looks better this year. I would not want to have to tackle the guy when he has a head of steam.

Jacksonville is a more talented team this year than last. We'll see about the coaching. I think they have a nice receiving corps. Bottles is a good QB and looks to have potential for further advancement. I don't think their running game is much to behold. I think they had something like 48 yards on 26 carries today. I do think their receivers have some size and speed. It showed when they could get key matchup against the Pack secondary.

It is amazing to me how big these guys are getting. As a boomer I can remember when players were much smaller. And fast.... Speed is everywhere out there. We were 4 rows up in the end zone so you could see a lot in great detail.

In the end, unless you are just physically superior, games come down to the little details. When you create an opportunity for your opponent a worthy opponent will make you pay.

Oh and the kickers were pretty good today.

As a life-long packer fan, I'd never seen them play in person before. So, it was a great afternoon for me. There were a lot of Packer fans there as well. I guess, from what I heard discussed, they travel pretty well.

Final note. I always thought you had to throw the balls back. A kick off actually bounced up in the first row right in from of us. Kid (to kid, kid - but young guy) took it and stuck it under his shirt. A couple of guys on the field came over and asked for ti back, then shouted for it back, then gave him the evil eye. Kid just sat there and did nothing. They finally left when play resumed.
