A family member recently went through a divorce and they split the debt up and it's too much for her to take on. She refuses to file bankruptcy out of pride (which I admire) and I know she wants to pay it all back.
Problem is, if you add up it all up, her payments are easily 1200-1500 a month. When you throw in apartment, cell phone, and other bills she struggles. Is there any trust worthy type debt help out there that doesn't take advantage of people? It will take her years to pay this off and her retirement plan will never grow like it should at this rate.
