That guy is the best color guy/analyst around. He takes you inside strategies and how players would be, or should be, handling different situations throughout a game to a degree I had never heard before.
What I really liked was his ability to explain how a World Series game strategy might be different than a ho-hum game in the middle of June.
The guy often pointed out something to be watching for, and I can't remember how many times his scenario soon unfolded in the game. His knowledge of how to pitch in certain situations was really fascinating.
Best of all...he's not full of himself. He just quietly calls the game. I was impressed with him throughout the playoffs.
