No it's not Mr. Roger's neighborhood, but it's starting to feel like it. You may remember my story from months ago about the new neighbors that moved in last year. I couldn't locate my last post on the topic, but I believe I mentioned the cop cars that descended on their place this winter. Following that event, things seemed to change dramatically. The visiting traffic seemed to disappear and it wasn't too much longer when there wasn't any activity at the place.
We had no idea where the owner was. We didn't know if he was on the run from the law, in jail or what. Recently I heard he was living in California. In the meantime there have been many contractors working on the house, replacing carpet, drywalling, painting and whatever else needed done. Apparently, what once was a nice house had been trashed by the seedy folks that visited the place.
It appears they are getting the place ready to put on the market. The other neighbors are breathing a sigh of relief. I believe many had considered moving when this place became a drug house. It sure seemed like the most unlikely of places for a drug house, but that is apparently what we had. Now if I could just get my grass to grow.
