Hope these links work. Posting this as just a human interest story. Ranger College is up the road about 60 miles from Abilene, Billie Gillespie's home town. Billie is starting over in his career, and has taken a 2-23 JUCO team last year, to 26-4 and a #10 ranking as of yesterday. The four losses were actually wins, but a paperwork screw-up on a transfer player caused them to forfeit the first four games. His team scored about 153 points in a game not long ago.
Just found it interesting where he is and what he's doing. Many hate him, but you gotta admit, the guy loves basketball, and can make silk purses out of sows' ears.
If anyone has any contacts with CSP's staff, this may be a place to keep an eye on for future JUCO help, and establish a relationship. Like I said, he knows how to develop talent, and you can bet that Tubbie, Lon, Shaka, and Drew will be hanging around there soon.
