Ron Parham lived on my street in the small town of Oakland until his family moved away when he was in high school. His career took him around the world until he retired and started writing novels. Festival of Fear is his third novel and this one is interesting because it's based on people, places and things from his original hometown, although the story line is total fiction. I haven't had a chance to read his last novel, but I really enjoyed the first two. In fairness AlanAldaClone read one of his novels and gave it a lukewarm review. Below is copied from the author's post on Facebook followed by a picture of the latest book cover with an embedded link to his page on Amazon.com. You can buy all three of his book in electronic (Kindle) form for less than $10.
I just heard from my publisher that my latest novel, Festival of Fear, won a Pinnacle award from the National Association of Book Entrepreneurs (NABE) for best thriller in Fall 2017! This is my second Pinnacle award, with Molly's Moon winning in Spring 2015.
