Today is our official “ice out” day as I woke up this morning to an ice free lake. The blue sky and the blue water is just beautiful. Ice out day is anticipated in our household each spring much like the cyclone football opener each fall. The loons are singing, the eagles and osprey are hunting, and the otters are as playful as ever.
By end of day I hope to have the dock in as the jet skis and pontoon will be delivered next week. Our youth pastor who is a big Jayhawk fan helps me put our dock in so we have a lot of fun talking Big 12 sports. There are not many Big 12 fans up here.
I told my wife this week, I think I can survive the Coronavirus and the cabin fever I have had, but I am not sure I can survive without Cyclone football this fall. Lol Maybe this group could hook up at a tailgate this fall? We’re any of you at the small tailgate Paul put on way back in the beginning of this group? That may have been at a spring game? That was a long time ago.
