Agree.You need loyalty at the quarterback position, not an opportunist. We need someone who wants to be here for more than how much L$VE he can get. So he already accepted what we offered, but now wants more? No go for me in our business.
I can tell a little story.
I am on the board of the local History Museum. We hired a new Executive Director in February.
Just the last few weeks she has been sending emails to all of the board members basically complaining about the job and she also wants to close the museum an hour early on 2 days of the week.
I walked in there Monday and she asked me what I thought of her demands and what I thought of the job she was doing?
My reply: "You are damn lucky you aren't my employee, you would have been fired in your 2nd week!!"
She then sent out an email complaining about what I said.
We've called a special board meeting for Monday night where we are basically going to tell her to accept the job for what it was laid out to her in February or hit the road.
