American Eagle earlier this month just bought Tailgate Clothing (11 million). Tailgate has a lot of ISU grads working there, and one of the co owners is Todd Snyder, also an ISU grad, now in NY. If you don't know who he is ask your wives, the japanese love his design sense.
Tailgate does cool sport apparel but using vintage or retro sport team art. They have obtained something like 500 or 600 rights to these old logo from the schools. They have been trying to find building space in Ames, but struggle to find that old brick building store front look they like on Main Street or Campustown.
