I stopped by the old Battles BBQ place last night for the first time in years. The Battles sign is still on the building outside, but they have changed their name to Battlecry Smokehouse. Apparently this name change happened last summer. It seems like if you are going to change the name, you should be prepared to change the signage on the outside of the building. Anyway, it seemed like the same place to me.
That area on Welsh has added some businesses to the south that weren't there when I was in school. There is an interesting looking bar across the street that I might have to check out someday. I could see a big screen with the West Virginia game on. I think it's called the Blue Owl Bar according to a Google search. There also appears to be a diner on the second floor.
