So, sitting at the game yesterday, the Iowa score comes across the scores on the ribbon. I immediately sing Hail to the Victor's. The fans around me chuckled and the lady seated next to me said they really are jerks. She then related the following story.
She said 3 years ago her daughter was going to the TCU game and a guy in his Hawk gear approached her and said F State, I hate you guys. She said her daughter replied "see that big guy. He is my (boyfriend, fiance, husband - not sure.) He is a former ISU offensive lineman and is going to come over here and beat the crap out of you."
She said the guy disappeared quickly. I just had to laugh.
