As a lifelong Yankee fan my favorite World Series is one they lost. I remember watching the HBO special “Nine Innings from Ground Zero” that followed the Yankees in the aftermath of 9/11 while trying to win the World Series. Some emotional moments especially when the little girl who lost her pilot father in one of the crashes wrote Derek Jeter a letter. She was able to meet him at one of the games. I’ll never forget when they were one out from being down 3-1 and Tino Martinez tied it up with a 2 run homer. Then later as Jeter stepped into batters box on Halloween night and the clock turned to 12:00. If you have an hour sometime it’s well worth it:
