Historically, Inaugurations have always been over celebrated and overblown, imo. Now with covid surging, NFL games with no fans, HS and NCAA sporting events with limited fans, and social distancing guidelines everywhere, etc. , not to mention the unpleasant events of January 6th, I have to ask, why not make it a small, vastly cheaper, event in a small setting? LBJ being sworn in on Airforce One with 15 people or less as witnesses worked then during a crisis. Why not do something similar during this pandemic? The schedule for January 20th, 2021 is a recipe for a super spreader event during a pandemic if I ever saw one..... Imo, have Biden take the oath in a secure location on Wednesday with a few witnesses and media present, and get it over with. again, jmo. Please don't just answer with "its over done because the dems like to spend money". They do, ..... and so do the republicans..... my point is ,the entire deal always seems like a hugely overdone event of a waste of time and money.... but especially even more so now during a pandemic..
