Sorry to start another thread, but most expansion articles, blogs and posts in the college football message board universe don't adequately acknowledge what by all accounts is a huge factor: If Texas' future actions cause the Big 12 to implode, Texas will no longer be the king of its conference, whichever conference that may be.
ACC, Big 10, SEC, Pac 12. Tell me how Texas would enjoy the degree of influence and overlordship in any of those conferences that it currently enjoys in the Big 12.
Maybe this aspect is overblown?
