Whether anybody is a liberal or conservative, whether they watch any cable news or not.....
An Iowa State fan who has did something immensely good for both Iowa State and Iowa.....received one mother of a supportive segment and got defended on the second highest watched prime-time news show in America. (Whether it deserves to be or not. )
No matter what you think of the network or the show's host...that was a damned good thing, and a hell of a lot of positive and deserving visibility for him and Iowa State.
Definitely a hell of a lot better than we have gotten from any local media, that's for sure.
Not everything has to be viewed through political lenses every time, regardless of the source. Or more critically because of the source. I honestly wish that every news network would have covered it as well. But as it is.....it at least got this one.
The Greater Good here.....is Carson King, Iowa State, and most importantly the great deed he did. Not where the segment happened to be shown.
We shouldn't have to lock up a thread on such a positive event, just because we cannot set our political egos aside for just one moment.
Leave that out of the conversation, for Carson King's sake....and leave it at that. The segment deserves it's attention and discussion, including on an Iowa State message board.
