and I am ok with that, as long as we see the same/similar effort these next 4 weeks.
I'd also like to see:
*same sense of urgency on the recruiting front that we seem to have seen last year. JUCO's have to play a major part of this upcoming class (as well as every class). I don't think there is any doubt that this staff went into coast mode for a couple of years regarding recruiting. If we get immediate help next year like this, we could be really salt on defense (i'm thinking mid year JUCO LB would be great)!
*coach with more substance that style. I think Paul may finally realize that the rah-rah stuff has worn thin. Under promise and over deliver should be his mantra moving forward.
*keep as much as this staff intact as possible. Good programs don't lose the number of coaches we do each year (I'm assuming the younger Mangino will move on). Consistency is the key!
*I know some won't agree, but redevelop some of the lost mojo with Iowa High School coaches. If we truly go to the grind it out type offense, they can be a major contributor from a recruiting stand point.
