I didn't get to see the Spring game and the comments from the coaches were predictably non-committal. But there were some comments on the Board, but not many. I get it that the consensus is that the OL is not a strength going into the season. But what is the feeling on the starting lineup and maybe 3 backups that might be ready to play. [Note: By my count, we only have 12 scholarship linemen that are NOT true freshmen. I assume true freshman will redshirt.]
My best guess, based on last year and comments on the spring game, goes something like this.
LT - Philbert
LG - Fett
C - Good-Jones
RG - Scoggins
RT - Campos
1 starter, 1 regular, 1 guy with some experience, a JC guy coming off injury, and a Red-shirt Freshman.
The backups come from:
Curtis, Homa, Green, Odeogu, Kodanko, Windham, and Meeker. This is where I get nervous. Or more nervous. Homa has not been heard from and is at least rumored to be one who may have to give up football due to injuries. Green, from reports here, was underwhelming, not what you want from a JC transfer. Odeogu is not on campus yet. That leaves Curtis, Kodanko, Windham and Meeker.
Any comments on who may emerge from that group?
