What next? Long story long, I agreed to buy an item online from an individual. After several email exchange, all seeming very legit, (the guy had a pretty intricate knowledge of the item ... more than you would expect with someone just running a scam.) We agreed on a price and payment method. -- via money order of course. I sent the M.O. via priority mail, so "we" would have a tracking number. I see the item is out for delivery yesterday morning ... so I send him an email letting him know and requesting that he ship the return item asap ... well, the email address no longer exists. I immediately contact the post office to attempt to intercept the package. Large org bureaucracy what it is, they couldn't make it happen so the item was delivered. USPS basically has no idea what to do. can't stop payment on the order for whatever reason, etc. so I fill out some form, that the local PO has no idea what it accomplishes ... so I guess I'm just effed. Called my local PD to see if they had any thoughts, they told me it was a civil issue. I would have thought fraud would be criminal. Anyone have any thoughts? I know, I'm a dumbass. thanks for listening.
