Long 4 part article from the NYT's chief science writer who was recently forced to resign for saying the "n" word during a NYT student trip to Peru (he said it academically BTW while gaining clarification on a student's question). Great example of cancel culture especially since he was one of their own. I'm guessing only a few will take this on, but several things hit home to me. #1 is that very few people will take the time to know you before they judge you. #2 is that it is FAR too easy to have something misinterpreted and when it IS it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle. #3 is today's students from the elite prep schools are poorly, poorly educated.
