Kid from my hometown of Rock Rapids just tweeted that he has been offered by Iowa. His name is Zach Lutmer. Stud. I’m guessing he’s targeted as a safety. He’s a junior and was 1st team all state in football and hoops. He’s visited Ames but not sure of our status w him.
I would be shocked if he doesn’t jump on the offer and commit to Iowa. Hope I’m wrong.
Just in Lyon County - between West Lyon and Central Lyon, I can think of at least 8-10 kids who have played at Iowa. Zero at Iowa State.
I wish we could break in in NW Ia - doesn’t seem to happen. Really hope that Hunter D kills it just to raise Iowa States recruiting profile. Relative to population it’s got some pretty solid football talent - and Iowa gets almost all of it.
