I realize this is a very conservative web site but the news on subscriber losses is consistent with what has been talked about here. The era of big money for FBS conference rights could well be coming to an end. Maybe the Big 12 would better serve itself by looking to pioneer some of the alternative distribution options instead of depending on ESPN and Fox to legitimize their future. It would be nice to see the Big 12 in a lead role for a change.
