I think we all agree that one (or more) star player making $500k won't fly well with the rest of the team and will have a negative effect on the team chemistry. I think we're a year or less away from seeing every scholarship player at big donor schools getting paid a "minimum wage". Article below says the going rate appears to be in the $50-$100k a player. Collectives are already in place at OU and UT and I would assume many of the SEC blue bloods have them as well.
