ISU FB will hopefully bring out a new, efficient offense and a much stouter defense this fall. A new attitude would help immensely, and although I am not normally a proponent of change for the hell of it, I hope that CPR and the powers that be put of new product on the field as well. Such as, and feel free to supplement this with your suggestions:

1. A new intro song and entrance-the current is very stale, does not excite the crowd.
2. New uniforms. Our look very drab from the stands-actually they look like practice uniforms that needs refurbishing. Someone on this board puts out an actual gold helmet that looks modern and exciting. Come one, we seem so far behind the times.
3. Warm ups. Why not borrow KSU's pre game setup and have a half a dozen assistants stand at the 50 and stare at the opposing team for the entire warm ups. Maybe we will spot injured players or new plays being practiced. Why not run a mini-scrimmage with some real pass plays instead of our WRs trotting down the field as passes float their way, something that will never happen in the real game.
4. Tell the band to add something new to its pre game routine, which has been the same for decades now. Can we get some high stepping, high octane effort out there(I contribute money every years for the band, by the way). The Bells can be played after the game.
5 . Create a new pre game tradition honoring Jack Trice, the only black college fb player ever to have a stadium named after him after he died as a result of injuries in an ISU game. In this day and age, the national media would eat this up.
6. Bring in some celebrities to smooze and roam the sidelines for the TV audience to confirm that ISU is a place to be on saturdays. We have a lot to market to the public-let's do it even if we have to spend some money.
7. Identify the reasons that ISU grads have no problem allowing their child athletes to chose Iowa over ISU year over year, especially in football(Hockinsen this year, many more in past years). Then create a plan to deal with and overcome this embarrassment.
