I live in Omaha and during the quarantine down time I have been visiting cemeteries across the city. I am so happy that I did this because I have learned so much about the history of Omaha in a unique way (for me).
I started with a cemetery that’s called Prospect Cemetery which is in North Omaha. It has a lot of prominent burials from people that developed the city. When you enter the cemetery there is a map on their website which is basically a walking tour of all the prominent people. There was many brothels and gambling joints in Omaha. So here was an interesting guy that is worth the read if you like history and how things were back 150 years ago. Now here’s a man that is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha and definitely a character... Meet Tom Dennison:

Would love for people to share interesting tidbits about their towns/counties.
