Iowa State senior placekicker Cole Netten was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week, announced today by the Big 12 office.

A native of Ankeny, Iowa, Netten capped off his incredible Cyclone career by making all four of his field goal attempts vs. West Virginia, drilling 3-pointers from 40, 28, 32 and 31 yards. He was the first Cyclone to make four field goals in a game since 2007 and it was just the 10th time in school history an ISU kicker made four or more field goals in a game.

Netten currently leads the Big 12 and ranks third nationally in field goal percentage this season (94.1 pct.) by connecting on 16 of his 17 attempts. His 94.1 percent clip shatters ISU season school record.

Netten ended his career by making his final nine field goal attempts and 24 of his last 25 dating back to last season. His only miss this season was a 50-yarder at Texas.

Netten leaves Iowa State with the following career school records: scoring (300), field goal percentage (79.4 pct.), PATs (138) and consecutive field goals made (15). He is second all-time in career field goals made with 54.
