It may be a good year to make a donation with the recent legislation. I'm not going to attempt to summarize what is available, but you can consult your tax advisor or look it up yourself.
I believe you can gift your unused tickets back to Iowa State rather than get a refund. I don't know if that is tax deductible or not and I'm not going to give tax advice. I do know you can make a tax deductible donation to the Cyclone Regional Training Center. Below is the latest letter from Dresser. You can donate to the Cyclone RTC here: https://donate.onecause.com/crtc2020campaign/home

Hope my email finds everyone doing well. I want to update all on what's happening in the Cyclone RTC world as we venture into the final month of the year 2020.
As I mentioned in my ISU newsletter, we had a very good overall experience last month -- with 25 of our college-aged RTC guys competing in Omaha at a USA Wrestling Freestyle event. It was good to get back to some sense of normalcy.
Moving into December, we are training very hard this month in the college world and also with our Olympic hopefuls. I want to give an update on our current post-graduate RTC athletes as they push for the Olympic opportunities in front of them beginning in early 2021 and on through to the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo next summer. You can take a look at all of them on our website here.
First off, it is great to have Joe Colon in our room every day now. I am going to provide a link to our press release here where we announced Joe's move to Ames, IA. It is so fun to watch Joe train with our lightweight guys as he makes his descent to 57 kg to prepare to make some serious noise in the upcoming Olympic trials.
As you can tell by his bio, this guy is really good and we are so fortunate to get him back to Iowa. Joe has only been in town a week but his impact is immediate.
I want to extend a quick shout out to Steve Sukup at Sukup Manufacturing near Clear Lake for their significant contribution to help make Joe's return happen.
WE also got big-time contributions from Gary Lynch of Lynch BBQ, Jeff Kerber of Emmetsburg, Todd Rognes at Kingland Systems, Solomon Hinz at La Porte City Auto Sales, Todd Lundgren at ASI Contracting, and Dr. Darron Jones -- an ISU wrestling alum. All of these individuals and their companies are in Northwest and North Central Iowa and we can't thank them enough for responding to my request to help us get Joe to Ames.
Former Cyclone great, Kyven Gadson, is coming off a second-place finish at Senior Nationals this past November. Unfortunately, as many of you saw, Kyven was injured in a FLO event match in Texas and currently is on the mend. His injury required minor surgery and we expect to get him back to full training in late January.
Kyven has had a very good training run and I know he is excited to get back after this rehabilitation. Kyven is so valuable in the room training with our big guys. He has really developed into a professional and progressed in his discipline with all the little things that are necessary to be an elite athlete. He will be ready for the trials this spring.
Mongolian superstar Turtogtokh Luvsandorf (Triple T) joined us this summer and his impact also was immediate. He currently is training in Mongolia but will join us again in January to get ready for his Olympic trial process in late spring/early summer.
Triple T gives our room a different look and he is able to work out with anyone from 174 lbs all the way up to HWT. This guy is a serious threat to make his country's Olympic team.
Our fourth RTC athlete, Jasmit Phulka, the current 74 kg Olympian from Canada, will make Ames, IA his home starting January 1. Jasmit qualified as the #1 guy in Canada at his weight class. This spring, he will be participating in some qualifying events as he looks to land a spot for his country at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
I finish my recap of our four current RTC athletes by saying WOW and Thank YOU! Coach Carr is going to have his hands full with these four over the next 6 months but he is up to the task. Additionally, the impact these four athletes will have on our current ISU athletes is such a win-win for all.
As you can see, your financial support has created a world-class training environment. Building that environment and all of the players has been my No. 1 goal from the first day I stepped foot in Ames nearly four years ago. We are trending in the right direction folks and it is exciting to watch.
AS I finish this newsletter, I want to thank ALL of you who contributed to the Cyclone RTC in this very difficult year of 2020.
Please take a minute to go to our updated webpage to see ALL who contributed and/or donated at our two golf events this fall.
And of course, I wouldn't be me if I didn't ask you to jump over to our tree in the time we have left in 2020. The Cyclone RTC is a 501c3 so not only do you give to a great organization but you also enjoy a great tax deduction yet in 2020.
Immediately upon your donation, you will receive an email letter (plus some cool wrestling swag) with our Tax ID Number for deduction purposes.
To encourage you to give into the first couple of months of 2021: At every donation level, you will continue to receive our extra bonus t-shirt "We Will Wrestle Again."
So click HERE to get on our Cyclone RTC Tree!
Thank you,
Coach Dresser
