Watched on television, so I missed a lot. However,...

1) I was thinking prior to halftime that the guys were over passing; giving up easy shots trying to get teammates even easier shots, but making one, often difficult pass to provide that opportunity, and turning it over. These were big factors in UAB's climbing back in after their slow start.

2) For most of the game we appeared to defend their #4, Brown, fairly well, but we didn't blanket him and he went off, both in the later part of the 1st half and during the stretch run. I know we've done better with key shooters in other games this year and thought this guy deserved similar treatment.

3) Monte looked tired and a half step slow.

4) Georges was hitting almost everything offensively before his 2nd foul. Hindsight, maybe he should have come back in.

5) Some strange calls. The one that really got me was a foul on Hogue defending near the lane where the UAB player backed into Hogue twice with force, Hogue was giving ground and didn't reach or stick out a leg or his pelvis, and somehow the official called a foul on him. I don't think I've seen a worse call in any televised game I've watched this year.

6) The good start might have been defended by a timely time out as UAB was chipping away. The over passing was already a factor, and our defense seemed to have slacked off.

I don't really know anything and I already deleted my recording, so I expect this to be my only contribution to the discussion about what happened in this game. So many of the threads already up have comments from fans hurting and posting accusatory, hurtful or sarcastic comments; I don't want any part of that so I started yet another post game thread.
