To me, the most telling play was in the 2Q at the 8:40ish mark. It was the 4th and 1/2-yard at midfield.
Our D had been playing well, as had our O; we had rushed for 50+ yards or so.
I was perturbed we didn't go for it. I was perturbed we still can't stick a QB under center and execute a 1/2-yard play. Yet reflecting on it now, I feel like the coaches knew we couldn't get it. Suck.
Our OL just cannot run-block to make a difference. That's the reason we lost yesterday.
If MM had been Sam's OC for four years, I want to believe he'd have been getting under center by now, or we'D have another QB altogether.
Thought the OL passed-blocked very well in the 1st half. Sam had plenty time to throw, and it appeared lots of work had been accomplished off-season in wanting to keep the QB in the pocket.
