I spent the weekend at the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Clinic. Most are UI fans either because they are or because UI is the only State Baseball program. Either way the questions this old Cyclone got were:
*why did McCarney get fired?
*why do so many Cyclone fans still support Rhoads . They point out w/o me saying that Rhoads is losing big since he only has his recruits to play.
My answers were: McCarney was fired fired by the big donors because of attendance concerns.
I had no answer for Rhoads not being fired other than sold tickets.
